Recently I had one of the young ladies who has been coming along to my classes, sign up as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. She joined up under me as my first downline. I am excited to have her on my team and I look forward to supporting and helping her. There are many great benefits of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and I hope she will enjoy it as much as I do, as well as have a lot of fun using their great products.
This is a small gift I made for her.

Calm Christmas Thank You Tag
This is the Thank You tag I made for my customers who put in an order with me recently using the Calm Christmas stamp set. I love this Dove stamp and the
new Pretty Print embossing folder with its deep texture. This tag
features a new favourite colour combination which I have used on some of
my Christmas cards - Midnight Muse and Whisper White. Something a
little different from the traditional red and green colours.

Cardstock: Whisper White, Midnight Muse
Ink: Midnight Muse, Garden Green (marker)
Other: Pretty Print Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Label Collection Framelit Dies, Dimensionals, Tombow, Ribbon, Star Punch (to punch hole for ribbon - non SU)

Strawberry Shortcake Punch Art
As I mentioned in my post yesterday, my daughter, Danielle, turned seven earlier in the week. She had a Strawberry Shortcake themed party with her friends, so I thought I would make her a Strawberry Shortcake card to keep with the theme. This is the card I made for her.
My upline, Julia Leece, has a friend, Kathryn Tyrrell, who had already made a Strawberry Shortcake figure with punch art so she had done all the hard work for me. She had figured out which punches would be best to use. Kathryn had some very detailed pictures and instructions which she lent me and with that, I made this card. It was made with lots of different punches. I had a few of the punches, but the ones I didn't have, Julia kindly let me come over and use hers. So a big thank you to Kathryn for her pictures and instructions and also Julia for letting me use her punches.
If you would like to know how to make this Strawberry Shortcake punch art, please contact me and I will pass your details onto Kathryn and she can send you the instructions.
Thanks for dropping by.

Craft at a birthday party
My daughter, Danielle, turned seven years old yesterday. On Saturday she had a birthday party with her friends and we made a craft as one of the activities at the party. This is what they each made.
There were ten girls, so a few too many to teach how to make this gift bags, so I pre-made them and they got to decorate the fronts of them. I pre-cut the coloured card for the front, the embossed white card and pre-punched the butterflies. They got to choose the colours they liked and put it all together. They seemed to enjoy the activity. This was their goodie bag to take home. The gift bag is based on the gable box tutorial.
I had also planned for them each make a Petite Purse Bag which nicely fits a small snack sized chocolate treat. Only some of them had time to finish them at the party and so I finished the rest of for them for them.
Come back tomorrow and see the Strawberry Shortcake punch art card I made for Danielle's birthday.

A Minion Birthday
On Thursday my son, Jonathan had his 9th birthday. He likes Minions so I made him this card.
This card was inspired by various images I found on Google, but a lot of my inspiration came was from Donna Kish, although I adpated it to make the one-eyed minion.
Today he had his birthday party and this was the cake I made.
I hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Christmas Cards "Stamp a Stack" Class
Christmas may seem a little way off, but now is a great time to start making some Christmas cards. Here are the samples of what we will be making in my upcoming class.
For my first Christmas card class of the year, I have designed three different cards. Please note the red and green ones are the same layout, just opposite colours - green on red and red on green.
Cost: The cost of the class is $10 for three cards. Three cards of your choice. You can make all three the same, or three different designs. If there is enough time and resources you are welcome to make more - three more for $10, or any additional ones at $3.50 each.
When: Thursday 19th September at 1pm (My morning class is already full).
Or get a group of friends together and contact me to arrange a time that suits you.
Email me to confirm your place or if you have any further questions.

MDS - Digital Tour
On Saturday afternoon, which also happened to be my birthday, I attended the Stampin' Up! "Make a Statement Digital Tour" in Auckland. I had an enjoyable afternoon and I learnt a lot about the MDS software.
I still love making handmade cards and I will continue to do so, but MDS has so much to offer. You can make things like invitations, photo books, recipe books, create party themed products, cards, tags, journals and scrapbook pages.
For those of us who attended, we were there with our laptops so we could follow along with presentations and have a play and try it ourselves.
It was a worthwhile afternoon, very well presented, good value for money, and I learnt a lot.
Here are just a few of the displays that were made using the MDS software..
If you would like to know more about MDS, you can find more information here or feel free to contact me.
Enjoy the rest of your week.

A box from one sheet of 12" x 12" DSP
Last weekend I had my monthly card class. We had lots of fun making two projects. We made this wonderful box and a then a sunburst card - very popular at the moment.
This box was made from one piece of 12" x 12" DSP and required no cutting. The Simply Scored Tool makes scoring this box a breeze. Thank you Tanya Bell for your inspiration on this one.
Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Label Love
Cardstock: Black
Ink: Primrose Petals
DSP: Modern Melody
Other: Primrose Petals Stitched Satin Ribbon, Artisan Punch, Simply Pressed Clay, Button & Blossoms Simply Pressed Clay Moulds, Dimensionals, Sticky Strip.
Thank you also Paula Reid for the tip that this box neatly fits six Whittakers mini bars. I made some more of these boxes in different DSP for Father's Day and learnt that six Cadbury mini bars also fit well - my husband, like me, prefer Cadbury chocolate. This box is also great for other small presents. It nicely fits a pack of three washi tape. Lots of great uses for this wonderful little box.
Thanks for stopping by. Come back tomorrow and see the sunburst card we made.
