PPA 185 Sketch

After lots of Christmas cards it time again to make some other types of cards.  I used the Pals Paper Arts Sketch #185 as my starting point.  This is my creation for masculine birthday card.

For this card I got to use for the first time my tiny wave rotary cutting blade in my Stampin' Trimmer which fits in the Rotary  Blade Addition . I love the way you can change the blade, to cut card or use it as a decoration.  There is also a perforating blade and a small scallop blade.

Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Label Love, Simply Stars
Card: Early Espresso, Baked Brown Sugar, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla

Ink: Early Espresso
Other: Seasons of Style Washi Tape, Stylish Strips Embossing Folder, Stampin' Trimmer, Rotary Blade Addition, Tiny Wave Rotary Cutting Blade, Artisan Punch, Tombow

The card is based on this sketch.

Here is the inside of the card.

Thanks for dropping by.  Wishing you a Happy New Year!

A box from one sheet of 12" x 12" DSP

Last weekend I had my monthly card class.  We had lots of fun making two projects.  We made this wonderful box and a then a sunburst card - very popular at the moment.

This box was made from one piece of 12" x 12" DSP and required no cutting. The Simply Scored Tool makes scoring this box a breeze.  Thank you Tanya Bell for your inspiration on this one.

Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Label Love
Cardstock:  Black
Ink: Primrose Petals

DSP: Modern Melody
Other: Primrose Petals Stitched Satin Ribbon, Artisan Punch, Simply Pressed Clay, Button & Blossoms Simply Pressed Clay Moulds, Dimensionals, Sticky Strip.

Thank you also Paula Reid for the tip that this box neatly fits six Whittakers mini bars.  I made some more of these boxes in different DSP for Father's Day and learnt that six Cadbury mini bars also fit well - my husband, like me, prefer Cadbury chocolate.  This box is also great for other small presents.  It nicely fits a pack of three washi tape.  Lots of great uses for this wonderful little box.

Thanks for stopping by.  Come back tomorrow and see the sunburst card we made.

Another Washi Tape Card and the Label Love Stamp Set

On Saturday afternoon I had my monthly card class.  We had three new ladies join us our class.  We had lots of fun using some of the new products from the new catalogue.

Here is a card we made featuring washi tape and the new Label Love stamp set with the matching punch.   This is cased from Leonie Schroder

Supplies:

Stamps: Label Love

Cardstock: Whisper White, Strawberry Slush

Ink: Bermuda Bay

Other:  Gingham Garden Designer Washi Tape, Bermuda Bay Twine (from the Tag a Bag Accessory Kit), Artisan Label Punch, Dimensionals, Adhesive

The washi tape is so quick and easy to use.  I have used the Gingham Garden Designer Washi Tape for this card, but it also comes in another colour which is great for more masculine and not so bright projects.
