Today's card features the Simple Stems stamp set, some colour coordinating ribbon and Stampin' Up Note Cards.
Stampin' Up Note Cards are a great way to create cards. They are slightly smaller than a standard C6 size card and come with envelopes. This design was inspired by a card Jacque Williams sent me. She is my upline's upline and team leader of Creative Inkers. It is so nice to receive cards from fellow demos, have the support of my upline, as well as Jacque who oversees the larger team.
Jacque's card to me featured other stamp set, but I liked the way she used the ribbon on the card and embossed the background to add to the main stamped image. I like the way this Simply Stem stamp set allows for two step stamping which makes it easy to use two different colours.
After I had stamped the flower and matted it onto some coloured card I felt the square was wider than it needed to be and it should have been more of a rectangle shape. I felt it looked it a bit empty on each side of the flower. I decided to add some Rhinestones on each side and I was pleased with the results.
If you would like to purchase some Note Cards or other products, you can order direct through me or through the online store by selecting me as your demonstrator.

Happy Easter
Happy Easter! I hope you are enjoying a relaxing Easter weekend, spending time with family and friends, as well as taking time to remember the reason we celebrate Easter.
Here are a couple of Easter projects I made. This card is one that I taught at a elderly community group recently. They each got to make their own card like this.
I used the Stampin' Up Note cards & Envelopes for this card. The card features the Eggstra Spectacular and Petite Petals stamp sets. The group enjoyed using the Texture Boutique Embossing Machine to created the texture background. This is a great portable embossing tool. It will be available again when the new annual catalogue comes out in July.
I also made an Easter basket which I saw on Keryn Campbells' blog which she learnt how to make from Frenchie's blog. My basket, like Keryn's, is made from one piece of A4 piece of cardstock. This basket is ideal for Easter eggs. It may be a bit late for you to make now for this Easter, but it can also be made to hold small gifts for other occasions.
Enjoy the rest of your Easter weekend.
Take care,
Angela

Watercolour Wonder & Flower Shop "Card in a Box"
I have seen lots of "cards in a box" recently and I have been very impressed by them. I finally got to make my own and this was one of the projects we made at my weekend class. My "card in a box" is cased from the Tauranga Extravaganza.
The one on the right with the Summer Starfruit ribbon is one I made before the class as a sample. The one on the left with the Tangerine Tango ribbon is the the one I made during the class to show everyone what to do. I then finished it off afterwards. These "cards in box" feature the lovely Watercolour Wonder DSP. Here are some more photos of them.
The great feature about these cards is that they can even be folded flat and posted in the mail. Come back tomorrow and see another card in this style and see how it folds flat.

Easter Bag in a Box
With Easter coming up, I thought it would be great to make some little gift boxes/bags for some Easter Eggs. This little gift bag/box was made using the Envelope Punch Board. I first saw one on Paula Reid's blog and it was created by Sam Donald. This was one of the projects we made at my weekend monthly class.
This gift bag only uses a 6" x 6" piece of DSP, so you can make four out of one 12" x 12" piece of DSP. It can fit a Cadbury creme egg, marshmallow egg or a few smaller Easter eggs. Perfect for giving an Easter treat.
