A Pinwheel Card

Today I enjoyed making a card  using my new Pinwheel die.  I have seen other similar cards which inspired me to make this one, but sorry I can't remember where I have seen them.  If you made a similar card, please let me know so I can acknowledge you.

I was originally going to use Marine Mist  as my background card base as I thought it was a lovely sky colour to go with the clouds, so I stamped the Happy Birthday greeting with this colour.  I then embossed the Whisper White card with the Cloudy Day embossing folder.  After this I made my pinwheels using up some scraps of Sycamore DSP and I then realised that the Pinwheels in Pool Party and Marine Mist didn't really go well so together, and Pool Party would be a better card base.  I had to think how I could cover up the already stamped sentiment.  I re-stamped my sentiment in Pool Party onto a small piece of Whisper White and used a circle punch to round the edges (as I don't have an oval punch yet) and then I mounted it the new sentiment with Dimensionals over the top of the no longer wanted sentiment and it all looked much better.

Supplies:
Stamp: Memorable Moments
Ink: Pool Party
Card: Whisper White, Pool Party
DSP: Sycamore (from SAB)
Other: Big Shot, Pinwheel Sizzlits S Die, Cloudy Day Embossing Folder, Mini Brads, Circle punc

Thanks for stopping by.

Enjoy your weekend.
