My Digital Studio and Online Shopping now with Stampin' Up!

We have two new exciting things at Stampin' Up!

The first is My Digital Studio (MDS).  It is digital design studio which you can use for digital scrap booking and card making.  You could even use it to practise designing a card or scarp booking page to see what it looks like before you get out your card, DSP, embellishments, etc.  Less waste that way!

Click here to see a video about MDS.

You can purchase the full version for ONLY $27.95 (Item 130646). If you would like to try before you buy, you can download a 30 day free trial version first.  If you would like to purchase the full version, please contact me

The second exciting news is that you can now order Stampin' Up products at anytime 24/7 online and get it sent direct to you!   You can still order direct through a demonstrator at a workshop or class as we have done in the past, or you can go online and order yourself.  I don't yet have the shopping online feature on my blog, but I hope to soon, so I will keep you posted.  In the meantime you can go direct to the Stampin' Up website store.  You can select me as your demonstrator and you will get things cheaper than if you didn't choose a demonstrator.

If you have any further questions about either of these two new exciting developments, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Bloomin' Marvelous Faux Tile Card

Last week was my wonderful upline, Julia Leece's birthday and so I made this card for her.  I used the Bloomin' Marvelous stamp set from Sale-a-bration which is a stamp set I have really enjoyed using.  I used the faux tile technique to make her card.  This was inspired by card I saw on Sally William's blog.

Supplies:
Stamps: Bloomin' Marvelous (Sale-a-bration stamp set)
Cardstock: Midnight Muse, Gumball Green, Whisper White
Ink: Primrose Petals, Gumball Green
Other: Simply Scored Tool, Sponges, Big Shot, Labels Collection Framelit Dies, Post it notes, Dimensionals, Pearl Basic Jewels, Adhesive

Remember that there are only two days left of the Sale-a-bration promotion.  For each $120 you spend, you get to choose from 19 free products, so if you would like to purchase something, please contact me before midday Friday.  More details here.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sycamore Street Card Holder and Cards

This card holder was inspired by Sally Stuart.   She used the adorning accent edgelet on hers which made a really nice curve on the front.  I unfortunately don't have that edgelet, so I had to come up with another way of designing it, so I decided to use the scalloped edge punch I had.  The top part of the holder is based on a card inspired by a card by Tanya Bell which I also saw on Narelle Hoggard's blog.  I used it on the front of the card holder and also on one of the cards.

Here are two of the cards I made to fit inside.

This second card was also inspired by one of the cards Sally Stuart made with her card holder set.

Supplies:
Stamps: Itty Bitty Banners, Memorable Moments
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Pool Party
DSP: Sycamore Street DSP (Sale-a-bration product)
Ink: Rich Razzleberry (marker)
Other: Big Shot, Elegant Butterfly Punch, Bitty Butterfly Punch, Scalloped Border Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch, Bitty Banner Framelit Dies, Sponges, Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Dimensionals, Sticky Strip Adhesive, Other Adhesive, Pearls, Velcro fastener, White Grosgrain ribbon (retired)

Thanks for taking the time to visit.

NZSU Week 8 Challenge and TSOT # 108

I decided to use the sketch for Try Stampin' On Tuesday #108 as my starting point for the NZSU Week 8 Challenge.

Here is the sketch.

The NZSU challenge is to use a colour combination from the "Colour Coach" using the Creative Combination selection.  I have used Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder and Lucky Limeade.

Here is the card I made:

I didn't have any matching ribbon in any of the three colours and I thought it would look best in the boldest colour, Elegant Eggplant so I thought I would dry emboss some card to give an interesting effect.  However, I didn't have any Elegant Eggplant card to use, so I coloured Whisper White with my marker, let it dry and then dry embossed it.  As it was white card I had to colour the edges of the card. I think it turned out quite well.

I would have liked to have punched the sentiment out with an oval shape, but I don't have any oval shaped punches (yet!), so I trimmed the two edges with my circle punch.

Supplies:
Stamps:Memorable Moments

Ink: Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade (markers)
Card: Whisper White, Lucky Limeade
DSP: In Colour 2011-2013 Stack - Wisteria Wonder
Other: Big Shot, Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder, Basic Pearl Jewels, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by and for your comments.  I really appreciate you taking the time to leave them.
