What if you would like to attend, but this time doesn't suit?
If this time doesn't suit and you would like to attend a class, get a group of friends together and we can arrange a time that suits you and it can be held either at my place or yours.

If you would like to purchase products yourself, I can hold a workshop.  You invite friends along that would be keen and interested to try making cards and handmade projects.  I will demonstrate how to make a couple of cards or projects.  Everyone then gets to make a small card/project which you can take home.  You then benefit from the sales from you workshop.  Conatct me for more information or take a look  here

A Sneak Peak - Stars & some new In Colours

Here is a card, based on this week's sketch from Try Stampin' On Tuesday #123 but with a different colour combination from yesterday's card.  This uses some of the new In Colours that will feature in the new catalogue.

For this card I used the "ink and emboss" technique.  I used a brayer and inked my embossing folder on one side, then I placed the card inside and put it through my Big Shot.  This then added some ink to part of the chevron background.

This was my card for a team swap with other Stampin' Up! demonstrators.  One of the many advantages of being a demo (demonstrator) is that you get to meet with lots of other like minded people, share ideas and have fun as we learn some new things together.  We had a enjoyable training day yesterday and for those that wanted to, we could take part in a swap.  I made about 16 of these cards  to swap.  In return I got lots of other wonderful examples of cards and projects made using things from the new catalogue.  Remember the new catalogue starts on 2nd July 2013!

Thanks for stopping by.

Try Stampin' On Tuesday #123

This is this week's sketch from Try Stampin' Up Tuesday #123.

The card I made for this challenge gives you a sneak peak of two wonderful new stamp sets from the new catalogue that begins on 2nd July.  I decided to make this into a more masculine card and so used Early Espresso, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla card stock.

Come back tomorrow and I will show you a card using a similar layout to this, but with completely different colours.

If you would like a copy of the new catalogue, or would like to attend a class in July, please contact me.  This is a great opportunity to see some of the new stamps sets and lots of other great product from the new catalogue, and have a try with some of it too.

Try Stampin' On Tuesday Challenge #122

Today's card is based on a sketch challenge from Try Stampin' On Tuesday - Challenge #122.

Here is the card I made:

The sketch was a bit of a challenge at first and then I decided to use my owl punch and create a tree like scene.  The sentiment didn't quite work above the owl, so I had to put in underneath, so I hope still works for this sketch.

Sorry about the slight shadow in the photo.  It is very wet and dark day here in Auckland, so a bit difficult to take a good photo.

Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Itty Bitty Banners
Card: Very Vanilla, Lucky Limeade, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso (Core'dnations)
DSP: In Colour 2011-2013 Island Indigo
Ink & Markers: Early Espresso (marker)
Other: Big Shot, Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Bitty Banners Framelit Dies, Owl Punch

Thanks for stopping by and for your comments.  They are greatly appreciated.

Easy Events

It is a long weekend here in New Zealand as it is Queen's Birthday weekend.  We have had an enjoyable family weekend and this afternoon I found a little time for some crafting.

This is the card I made.

The stamp set I used is "Easy Events" and it is one of the retiring Stampin' Up! stamp sets.  This is a wonderful stamp set and it is very versatile as it has images and greetings for various occasions.  It includes birthday, baby, thank you, wedding, Christmas etc. It is available in wood or clear and only until 1st July.
