Try Stampin On Tuesday #106

I found this week's sketch from Try Stampin On Tuesday #106 a bit more of a challenge, but I needed a birthday card for a friend so I thought I would use this sketch as my starting point.

Here is my card.

I  have also been inspired by others who have also added something to the inside of their card too, so I decided to try that with this card.  Here is the inside.

You will see that I have kept to my favourite colours again - Wisteria Wonder and Lucky Limeade, but also added Calypso Carol.  One of the reasons why I seem to choose these colours is because I have DSP in the 2011-2013 In Colours that match my cardstock.  I have recently bought some new DSP, so perhaps in the future you will see something a bit different!

Thanks for visiting and for your comments.  They are greatly appreciated.

I started this card shortly after the challenge was put up, but only just finished it today.  It was a busy weekend so not much time to make cards.  I am glad that I got to finish it before the challenge closes.

Sorry the colours haven't come out so well.  I will look forward to using my camera again soon, rather than the camera on my phone, once we get our main computer up and running again.

Stamp Set: Easy Events
Ink: Wisteria Wonder, Limeade (and markers)
Cardstock: Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder, Limeade
DSP: In Colours 2-11-3012 Stack - Wisteria Wonder, Limeade
Other: Petals-a-plenty Embossing Folder, Scalloped Punch, Bitty Butterfly Punch, Basic Jewels Pearls

A Simple Mini Valentine's Day Card

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today at our church coffee group, I took some of my Stampin' Up things along.  For those who wanted to, they had a chance to make a simple Valentine's Day card.   It was a bit like "a make and take" at a workshop.

They got to try sponging, punching, stamping, as well as dry embossing and die cutting with the Big Shot.  I think they were pleased with their results.  Some also got to make an envelope to go with the card using the simply scored tool.  Here is what we made.

Supplies:
Stamps: Itty Bitty Banners
Cardstock: Whisper White
Ink: Pool Party, Cherry Cobbler
DSP: Pool Party from 2011-2013 DSP stack
Other: Chevron Embossing Folder, Itty Bitty Dies, Dimensionals, Stampin' Sponges, A4 white paper for envelope

I hope you are enjoying your Valentine's Day.

A Heart Box

Earlier this month I held my first class of the year.  For this class I wanted to include a 3D project.  I thought that since Valentine's Day is coming up it would be nice to make something that could be used for this occasion.  I saw this heart box on Brenda Quintana's blog and thought it would be perfect.  She also has a tutorial on how to make it which I have adapted slightly.  It is perfect to fill it up with some small yummy treats like Hershey's Kisses.

This is how my version turned out.

Supplies:
Stamps: You are Loved (or one could use Itty Bitty Banners)
Cardstock: Raspberry Ripple, Very Vanilla, Primrose Petals
DSP: In Colours 2011-2013 DSP stack – Wisteria Wonder
Ink: Raspberry Ripple
Tools: Big Shot, Hearts Collection Framelits, Adorning Accents Folders, Simply Scored, Heart Punch, Punch to punch small holes, (Bitty Banner Framelit Dies)
Embellishments: Raspberry Ripple Stitched Stain Ribbon, Pearl Basic Jewels
Adhesive: Sticky Strip, Dimensionals, Snail, Glue Pen

Thanks for visiting.  Enjoy the rest of your week.

And here it is opened up.

Stamps: Bloomin’ Marvellous (SAB)
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Midnight Muse, Whisper White
Ink: Midnight Muse, Gumball Green, Primrose Petals
