Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mothers out there for yesterday. I hope you had a lovely day. I was very fortunate to receive some lovely homemade cards from my children and husband.
My nine year old son made the card on the left. He drew his own picture on his card. My seven year old daughter made the stamped card with the red flowers at my Kids' Holiday card class and she kept it for me for Mother's Day. My three year old daughter came home from church yesterday after making the card with the hearts on it. The final card is from my husband. The other night he asked if I could show him how to make a card, so he had his first card making session with me. He did very well. The card he made he kindly gave to me for Mother's Day.
I also received one other card from my children which was a card with a lovely photo of the the three of them with a heart in the background. The wonderful Kids Church leaders at our church took family photos of all the children the week before so they could print them off ready to make cards to give to all the Mother's for Mother's Day. It was a lovely surprise.

Flower Shop Mother's Day Card
Yesterday my church Mum's coffee group got together for a catch up and to learn some fun things for "Keeping House". One of the things I got to watch and learn was how to make some jam which required no cooking and was sugar free. You can add a little honey or something sweet if you like, but it doesn't have cupfuls of sugar! All that was in it was fruit, chia seeds, and honey/maple syrup (optional).
During the morning, the ladies also had the chance to make a Mother's Day card with me. Most of them were new to card making so I kept it simple. They each embossed a piece of card for the background using the Big Shot. The ladies always enjoy using the Big Shot and are impressed with the textured card that comes out. They stamped some flowers and used the co-ordinating punch to cut out the flowers. The co-ordinating punch makes card making nice and easy. The pearls or rhinestones finished off the flowers nicely.
Here are a couple of cards I made as samples for them to work from. I also stamped envelopes. One of the cards is for Mother's Day and the other is stamped with "Just for you" so it can be used for any occasion.
Here is a close up of each card.
Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Flower Shop, Teeny Tiny Sentiments,
Ink: Primrose Petats, Elegant Eggplant

Other: Whisper White Notecards and Envelopes, Big Shot, Pretty Prints Embossing Flower, Petals-a-plenty Embossing Flower, Pearls and Rhinestons, Tombow, Dimensionals
I hope you enjoy your weekend and for all the Mum's out there, I hope you have a wonderful day on Sunday.
