Sweet Sorbet, Cupcakes and Circle Thinlit Card Dies

The Thinlit Card Dies are a great way to make some impressive cards easily.  Here are two cards that I made for some birthdays recently.  I included a extended flap so there is more room to write a message.  They both feature the Sweet Sorbet DSP which is one of the free products available with Sale-a-bration.

Here is the inside of the card.  I had a slight smudge on the left front of the card, and needed to cover it up somehow, so that is how I came up with the idea of putting the hearts on the front.  The hearts are also one of the dies from the Circle Thinlit Card Die set.  So not only do you get the card die, you also get other 9 dies that can be used on cards or other creations.

Here is the second card I made with this same die. This card features another free Sale-a-bration product, the Petals Parade stamp set.

The heart stamped on the inside circle is from the Peachy Keen stamp set.

Supplies:
Stamp sets: Create a Cupcake, Petal Parade (SAB), Label Love, Peachy Keen
Cardstock: Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White
Ink: Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana
DSP: Sweet Sorbet (SAB)
Other: Big Shot, Thinlit Card Dies (Circle), Artisan Punch, Cupcake Punch, Boho Blossom Punch, Sponges, Tombow, Dimensionals, Rhinestones

There are only 18 days left of Sale-a-bration and with every $110 purchase you can choose a free product, so remember to get your order in by the end of this month.  You can order online or email me with your order.  I will be putting in a group order on Tuesday 24th March.

If you are new to stamping and wondering where to start, there are some great bundle selections on the first few pages of the Sale-a-bration brochure.  Also Stampin' Up! have  recently released the new Hip Hip Hooray Card Kit which is another great place to start.  Feel free to contact me if you have any questions

Enjoy the rest of your week.

Cupcakes

I enjoyed using my new Create a Cupcake stamp set and coordinating punch.  The Create a Cupcake stamp and punch set can be found in the annual catalogue.  They have been something that I have been wanting for a while, so I was pleased that I could finally purchase it.  I am sure some of the kids that come along to my kids classes will also enjoy it.

This card also features a sneak peak of one of the products that is available as one of the free products through Sale-a-bration.  It is the "Decorative Dots" embossing folder.

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Create a Cupcake
Ink: Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana
Cardstock: Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, Pretty in Pink (Retired), Whisper White,
Punches: Cupcake, Modern Label, Word Window
Other: Big Shot, Decorative Dots Embossing Folder (Sale-a-bration 2014)

I also made another card using the similar layout, but with a few changes.  This time although I stamped the cupcakes in the same colours, I stamped a different cupcake base and I used a different colour combination for the rest of the card.  I also only embossed the small strip of card behind the cupcakes rather than the base part of the card.  Please let me know which one you prefer.

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Create a Cupcake, Itty Bitty Banners
Ink: Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana
Cardstock: Strawberry Slush, Whisper White, Pretty in Pink (Retired)
Punches: Cupcake
Other: Big Shot, Pretty Prints Embossing Folder, Bitty Banner Dies, Kindy Glitz (non SU)

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day.
